Explore: Imagining my Ideal Creative Workspace
Thinking about creativity and creative spaces, I wrote a fantasy list of what I'd love to have in a studio:
lots of natural lighting (and a nice view of a wooded lot)
the kind of floor that makes your feet not hurt
in-floor heat
reclaimed wood flooring
ergonomic surfaces for sewing, writing and creating art collages
a place for my kids to make their own creations
efficient storage for fabric, paints, tools, papers and "bits" for collage work
a nice sound system to pipe in energizing (or soothing) music
a cozy corner for meditating or reading
a small sink
colorful and vintage-y accents in an overall bright and cheerful space
